Design a shower that is completely yours. Custom tile allows any size, any layout, and any aesthetic you envision—paired with durable materials and waterproof construction built to last for decades in your home.
Tailored to Your Space & Routine
Custom benches, recessed niches, curbless transitions, and premium stone surfaces.
Why Choose a Tiled Shower
Complete Design Freedom Built for a Lifetime
Standard shower kits force you to compromise your room layout around fixed factory sizes. A custom tile shower lets you design around your lifestyle, your comfort, and your home’s exact architecture.
Any Size or Shape
Unlike prefabricated acrylic pans limited to standard rectangular dimensions, a custom tile shower adapts precisely to any footprint, alcove, angled wall, or unusual layout in your home.
Timeless Visual Appeal
Tile delivers unmatched architectural elegance. From natural stone and marble to large-format porcelain, tile elevates your bathroom with texture, depth, and bespoke character.
Durable and Long-Lasting
Fired ceramics, dense porcelain, and natural stone resist scratches, heat, and heavy daily wear. When paired with proper under-tile waterproofing, a tiled shower will last for decades.
Repairable & Adaptable
If a single tile is ever chipped or altered years down the line, individual tiles can be serviced or replaced without tearing out the entire shower surround.
Lasting Home Value
Custom tile walk-in showers remain one of the highest-return investments in residential renovation, offering timeless appeal to homeowners, buyers, and appraisers across Greater Vancouver.
Adapts to Your Changing Life
Tiled showers easily incorporate zero-threshold entries, built-in benches, and reinforced structural backing so the shower supports you comfortably through every stage of life.
Customization & Features
Make It Yours: Tailored Options for Every Home
Every detail is tailored to your taste, daily routine, and physical comfort. Explore the features and custom details we design into our tiled showers across Greater Vancouver.
Integrated Benches & Seats
Tiled corner benches or full-width floating seats built right into the shower layout, offering stable, comfortable seating for relaxing or seated bathing.
Recessed Niches for Storage
Clean, waterproof storage niches custom-positioned at your preferred reach height to hold shampoos, soaps, and accessories without encroaching on elbow room.
Large-Format Tiles
Expansive porcelain slabs and oversized wall tiles produce minimal grout lines, creating a sleek modern look that is exceptionally easy to keep clean.
Custom Stone Options
Natural marble, granite, slate, and quartz accents bring luxurious textures and organic warmth to shower floors, curbs, niche sills, and feature walls.
Curbless or Curbed Entries
Choose a seamless zero-threshold curbless entry flush with your bathroom floor, or a low-profile waterproof curb tailored for glass enclosures.
Linear & Modern Drains
Sleek linear trench drains positioned along walls allow a continuous single-slope floor, eliminating the need for circular cuts in larger tiles.
Solid Grab Bar Backing Planned During the Build
We install solid structural wood blocking behind the tile walls during framing and waterproofing. Whether you install designer grab bars today or add them years later, your walls will be ready to anchor safety rails wherever needed, with no hollow anchors or guesswork.
Silica-Based Grout: Low Maintenance & Easy Cleaning
Traditional cement grout is naturally porous, which means it absorbs water, soap scum, and moisture unless resealed every few months. Home2stay uses advanced silica-based grout on our custom tile installations.
Modern Convenience Meets Classic Tile
Many homeowners hesitate to choose custom tile because of memories of scrubbing stained cement grout. With silica-based grout, you enjoy the rich aesthetic of real tile without the high-maintenance headache.
Available in a wide range of designer tones to complement your porcelain, ceramic, or natural stone selections perfectly.
Curbless & Barrier-Free Tile Showers
Barrier-free living should never mean sacrificing elegant interior design. A custom tiled shower can be designed completely curbless—providing a true zero-step transition flush with your bathroom floor for effortless walk-in access, walker stability, or roll-in wheelchair mobility.
Zero-Step Entry
Recessed substrate framing creates a seamless, continuous floor plane between the bathroom and the shower without trip steps.
Integrated Tiled Seating
Built-in waterproof benches and corner seats tiled to match the shower, delivering dignified, comfortable bathing.
Solid Wall Backing
Pre-engineered wood blocking installed behind tile walls ensures grab bars anchor securely into framing.
Slip-Resistant Flooring
Small-format floor mosaics or textured matte tiles provide enhanced wet traction underfoot.
Safe & Accessible Elegance
Zero-threshold transitions, custom designer tilework, and solid structural blocking for safety.
Built on wedi: What Is Under the Tile Matters
Tile and grout look stunning on the surface, but tile itself is not waterproof. What happens underneath is what protects your home from leaks, mould, and rot. Home2stay builds custom tiled showers on wedi 100% waterproof building panels and pre-sloped Fundo floor bases.
Home2stay is a wedi certified pro installer and an authorized wedi dealer.
wedi states a standard 10-year general warranty, with extended Limited 15-Year PRO or Limited Lifetime PRO warranties available only on qualifying projects installed with complete wedi system components.
Monolithic Waterproof Core
wedi XPS foam boards are completely waterproof through the entire thickness of the board, eliminating the risks of pinholes and voids seen in traditional paint-on membranes.
Craftsmanship Takes Time
While composite remodels like Sentrel (2 to 4 days) and Best Bath (3 to 5 days) are installed quickly, custom tile and bespoke showers take longer due to detailed substrate preparation, precise tile cutting, setting, and grout curing. Your exact timeline varies with project scope and will be clearly confirmed during your free in-home assessment. We never rush a full bathroom or compromise on proper prep.
