How your price is worked out
We believe in upfront, clear pricing for Vancouver families. Here is exactly how our straight stairlift calculation is determined.
What the price includes
Every straight stairlift estimate includes professional installation by Home2stay technicians and full delivery across Greater Vancouver. Stairlifts are GST and PST zero-rated, so no sales tax is added. The Bruno Elan base package comes complete with a standard extruded aluminum rail that covers staircases up to 16 ft.
How rail length is measured
We measure along the incline of your stairs from the nose of the top step down to the bottom floor, then add 11 inches to determine the total rail needed. Rails up to 16 ft are covered in the base price; runs over 16 ft and up to 20 ft add a 20 ft anodized rail kit ($411.22). Beyond 20 ft, we provide an individual custom quote. Final rail length and price are confirmed by measuring on site.
What changes the price
Optional additions include a folding rail (manual or power) to keep hallways or doorways clear at the bottom, and power options such as a power swivel seat or power-folding footrest, with an optional auxiliary power footrest switch as an add-on. Any clamps or special fittings needed for your staircase are confirmed during the free on-site assessment. Option prices are the purchase price at the time of ordering the stairlift.
